Durga Puja

Does any one among us need an introduction to the “Mother of all Festivals”? Each one among us has in him or her, memories of the dhaak beats, the wispy white kaash flowers, the scent of the orange stalked shewli flowers, the fennel scented chhatim and dhunow in the air and the images of Maa Durga – ever benevolent and compassionate.

Each year we welcome her back with joy on Panchami/Sashti and bid her a tearful farewell on Bijoya Dashami day. That and all the other activities, songs, dances, quizzes, musical chairs, prizes and bhog – create a smorgasbord that is enjoyed to the extreme and with enough memories to last us till the next Pujas.
